1. Acceptance

By using Broke, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

2. What Broke Is

Broke is a cash flow projection and alerting tool. It is not a financial advisor, tax advisor, or investment platform. Projections are estimates based on your transaction history and should not be treated as financial advice.

3. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your account secure. Use a strong password and enable biometric authentication if available. You must be at least 18 years old to use Broke.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Broke offers free and paid tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Pricing, billing cycles, and cancellation are governed by the respective app store's terms. We do not process payments directly.

5. Bank Connectivity

Bank connections are provided through Plaid. Broke is not responsible for downtime, errors, or data accuracy issues originating from Plaid or your financial institution. We do our best to keep data current but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy.

6. No Guarantees

Projections are forward-looking estimates. Actual balances may differ due to pending transactions, timing differences, bank processing delays, or changes in your spending. Do not rely solely on Broke for financial decisions.

7. Limitation of Liability

Broke is provided "as is." We are not liable for overdraft fees, missed payments, or financial losses that occur regardless of whether you received or acted on alerts from the app.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
